This is my contribution to the Game and Watch Sections out there. Although Im not entirely a hardcore collector, i have a list of game and watches, handheld games, and some old systems.
Latest News:
  • 1/26/01 - Oh wow, i remember this site finally. Here ill update it. Before it was a list of what i had (egoist), so ill think of a new, more informant page.

Skruffy's List

  • Game Consoles
    • Atari 2600, At its pinnacle of eminence, the Atari was absolutely cherished as the next best thing since the vcr. As far as debut dates go, i get mixed messages. I hear it was developed in '78 but other sources point to '80. Average them? It was your standard 8-bit system, blocky choppy graphics...hey why am i paraphrasing? Any american should now this is the king of game consoles. Although Odyssey is technically first. I have some games such as Donkey Kong for sale. Email me if you want to trade or something.
    • Intellivision I, Intellivision was a half step up from the Atari. Graphics were better, but not great either. Think of it as Mattel's one-upping of the Atari system. Games were a bit more interesting, with some actual level-games. Dungeons and Dragons!!!!! - Believe it or not, it was probably the earliest digital RPG i played. Excellent game! Intellivision reminded of a cheesy woodgrained vcr with controllers that looked like a flat telephone. Overlays were placed within brackets to make sure you dont screw up which button functions with what. I wouldve picked this one over the Atari in their prime. View
    • Intellivision II, Like i said, when i got the intellivision setup (40games and intellivisions I and II) it didnt come with a power supply. Nor did it indicate any polarity or voltage for a surrogate step-supply. Never got to try. Intellivision ][
    • Atari 1200XL Computer, For some reason or another when i was 11 i bought this for 60 dollars from some old woman. It had decent graphics (not as good as its rival: the TI99. The XLs came about around 84-85 as the predecessors of modern home computing. All consoles came with a basic cartridge to try your luck at programming Pac-Man or at least a random number generator. Games are very scarce. I happen to find a few at a local pawn shop. It also had ports for 5.25" drive. Another hard to find item. I am currently trying to get rid of mine. (email me if wanna buy) View
    • Texas Instruments TI-99 4/a,My family's very first video game console and PC. I think it was innovative for its time, though not too popular. Even had a speech synthesizer that cracked corny jokes (Alpiner) View TI-99 4/a
    • Magnavox Odyssey 3000,Cheap console that has four built in games. (I bought this 3/25/00 at a flea market for 3$, and got it fixed!) Runs well now. For sale if you want it. ($8)
    • Atari Jaguar, Found in most basements of liquidators, who apparently discounted them to 20$ and still didnt sell them, except me. I couldnt find any games for this except on Ebay. Test your luck and scour through Toy Works or such.(For sale!!!! 25$ w/ 2 games, perfect condition, used 5 times)
    • Nintendo (Original), God, you definately have to have this game system. It is essential you own one! Games at funcoland run anywheres from DuckHunt 10cents to MegaMan II 26$!!!. A megahit since 86, and still is sought after by diehard fans like me or Seth Sulman. No i will never sell my system, ive almost hit 100 games!
  • Game and Watches
    • Nintendo and likewise began making these around 1980 as cheap little blipy things like Snoopy. Later becoming creative and popular games by 1990 even taking on watch form. Different sizes and screen looks were made. A company has starting putting them out again in the form of little game boys. Available at KayBees or such.
    • Super Mario Bros. YM-105 Large LCD I won this on ebay Oct. 99 for $15. Yet i had another one when i was 6, of course i lost it. View
    • Russian Egg G&M. This isnt mine, but a friends, i scanned it, since it is pretty rare in America. It was a pretty fun game and resembled the Egg version of Nintendo's. Ill have a picture of it up soon. View
    • Starfox WristwatchVery good condition, no scratches, instruction manual and original warranty. I got this for $5. View handhelds
    • Donkey Kong WristwatchI bought this from a cereal UPC sendaway. It costed 8 UPC and 2 dollars in 1994. Ill have a picture of this soon. View
    • Mini GW Recently a company came up with a concept of re-formatting old game and watches into smaller packages and sell them for 8 dollars. This took place in 1998 and here is the result: four new game watches. They are still available, but the best place to find all of them is Wal-Mart. View

  • Vintage Games (LCD) -

    Under construction

    • Bambino Space Laser Fight I picked this up at the flea market for 75 cents. I believe its from 1978. Its too big to scan but it is a white package and with a blue central console. The buttons are black with a reddish orange lable on either side. View
    • Tomy Pac Man I recently purchased this for 3 dollars. It is sort of scratched but it plays nicely. Its from 1982. It is a round package with a UFO look to it. Golden yellow with black buttons.
    • Konami TMNT handheld This is a fun little package. Its an oblonged green thing from 1988. I had plenty of hours played on this when i was about 8 years old.
